Introducing another edition of our Critters Chronicles 🦛✨ series
Today’s Critter Chronicle is focused on the HIPPOPOTAMUS
Hippopotamuses are among the most powerful animals in Africa’s waterways. Despite their calm appearance while resting in rivers, they are highly territorial and extremely protective of their space and young. Their massive bodies, thick skin, and powerful jaws make them formidable defenders when threatened.
Hippos spend most of their day submerged in water to keep cool and emerge mostly at night to graze. In their river habitats, they dominate the waters with strength, aggression, and surprising speed.
Welcome to the midweek ❤️✨
