Seven years of my career were played in the Premier League, making this my 8th season living in England. Throughout these years, I’ve felt the everlasting love of the UK for it’s Queen, and how important Her Majesty was and will forever be to the British people. I pay my respect to her memory and I mourn this irreplaceable lost with the country that I’ve learned to call home. My thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

HUMANITY: DICE OF LIFE
Every day is fixed for a game of dice, which we all participate in. True, some of us have never liked any board game of dice. The six sides of a die are different not by will, choice or chance, but because everyone must take a place if they must be part of a die.
[Pause] Take your mind back to any day you stood and events unfolded, if you haven’t tried it, you need to. Take some time and stand at a good view point and watch people carry on their daily activities and slowly start turning around at that same point, then and only then would you see some other aspect of life you have never imagined about things.
Sometime in 1860 a game was originated called” the Game of Life”, the game simulates a person’s travels through life, from educational level through retirement in between jobs, marriage and maybe children along the way. [Smiles] How I wish life looked easy as the board game of life.
A six is good but it never made a one or a three less important or less valued, they act differently but are all heading and making ways for a win in their own ways. As humans by nature we like quantity [big things], it’s not your fault, its natural, but always remember big things big wahala. Looking down on people have never been a way up, without a one we cannot have a two and to think about mentioning a six. The rich around us began from, maybe street hustles, small business and other things which seem to have less or no value. Climbing up for them was never easy and the risk of falling got higher at every climb, and highest at the top of the ladder [that is the truth].
Sometimes in MONOPOLY you just need a small number to hit GO [salary], and you know many people go to JAIL in monopoly due to running with those big numbers, please I never said small numbers would not send you to jail. The point is this, life has never been about quantity but quality for survival, quantity can always come after. At some point we need a six six to win, some other times it could be a six one, and other times it’s a one one, praying for the needed number at the right time and place is all we need when rolling our dice or die. [less I forget to mention] recently I was in an online class when the instructor told us about her recent experience with her American friend which she helped do an assignment for, on submitting the assignment, her American Prof. invited her [the American girl] to his office to ask her who did the work for her, she mentioned her Nigerian friend’s name. The question here will be, can any good come out from the Dark Continent, which is just like a one in a die with six sides.
Looking into the ‘Game of Life’, YES, life is as easy as that, every day comes with its decision and events that pushes us higher and a step further to individual growth and development, the pace of movement should not be the issue here, the fact remains you are climbing, some are crimping to greatness, others walk, some jog, and a few run into greatness. It all depends on what your die have for you, just roll the die and stay positive, life today can never and will never be better than that of tomorrow, [some will say it’s a lie, but trust me, money is not everything]. In Ludo, Monopoly, Snakes and Ladder and Game of life, it is not always rosy and smooth. In Ludo – you may land in front of your opponent being at his or her mercy. In Monopoly – you may go to jail, pay rents, pay taxes, and pay utility bills even when broke. Snakes and Ladder – its killing after all the efforts put and get beaten in the 80s or even at 99, sending back to the street to struggle up again. In Game of Life – you may lose your job several times before retirement.
In the midst of all these happening, we still pick up the die or dice and Roll and pray for a safer journey upwards. Even Joseph went to prison before the throne, Ruth lost everything even her husband but still kept pushing and rolling her dice till she became the great grandma to the savior. It is not only the Bible, what about Edison, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther king Junior, and others.
Did you just think about embarrassment and stigmatization, those things are just in your head, because you feel people are watching? [my opinion]
After work one day, I closed quite early that day, I decided to walk home, it’s about a 30 minute walk. As I was walking home, cars and bikes where passing; going on their various activities just like I was. Nobody stopped to ask me where I started my journey from or for how long I have been walking. Some may think I stay around where they had seen me. Others may be of the opinion that I just decided a take a walk and others will have their own opinions, but it does not affect me because none of them knows my own reason for walking. That’s just the way we all need to view embarrassment. Most times, people around us are not looking but we feel they are. Even if they are looking. So what? It’s your life and yours alone! It's your dice and they also have theirs to roll.
It's time to start rolling and planning for a greater tomorrow, anticipating better results not minding the level of upward moving. We might fall today but rise tomorrow. Just stay strong and believe!
