REBUTTAL OF CIRCULAR PURPORTEDLY ANNOUNCING THE RESUMPTION OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES IN CRUTECH.
The attention of the Management of the Cross River University of Technology has been drawn to a publication making
rounds on the social media, purportedly announcing the resumption of academic activities in the University.

Management hereby vehemently rebuts this information as it did not emanate from the University.

Management therefore, condemns the attitude of some persons who rush to the social media with information without
taking pains to verify its authenticity. It also strongly warns mischief makers, to entirely desist from this unscrupulous action

In line with the directives of the Federal and State Governments on the reopening of schools and or institutions across the Nation and State, the Management of Cross River University of Technology at its meeting on October 12, 2020, has directed as follows:

All categories of Non-Teaching Staff of the University are to resume work with effect from Tuesday, October 20, 2020.

2020/2021 FIRST CHOICE ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE
It is hereby announced for the information of prospective candidates (Both UTME and Direct Entry) who made Cross River University of Technology (CRUTECH) their First Choice and scored 160 and above in the 2020 UTME Examination, that the Online Registration for admissions into the 2020/2021 Academic Session will commence on 6th of July, 2020.

To access the Online Application Form, candidates are required to pay the sum of two thousand (N2,000.00) naira Screening Fee, payable online with either Master/Visa/Verve ATM Card or in any commercial bank through Remita via the School online application Portal.

SUSPENSION OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES FOR FIRST SEMESTER 2019/2020 ACADEMIC SESSION AND INDEFINITE CLOSURE OF THE UNIVERSITY.
The Government of Cross River State has announced far reaching measures to effectively control the spread of the Corona Virus Pandemic. This is in line with similar measures taken by the Federal Government of Nigeria as well as various other State Government in the Country. These measures include the closure of Schools and Institutions.
Consequently, the Management of Cross River University of Technology in compliance with the directives of the State Government has taken the following decisions:
1. Academic activities in the University for the First Semester of 2019/2020 Academic Session are suspended with effect from Tuesday 24th March, 2020.
2. Students are to proceed on indefinite break immediately. Students who reside in the Campus should vacate the Halls on or before the close of work on Wednesday 25th March, 2020.
3. Staff except those on essential duties viz; staff working with the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, University Librarian, the Bursar, Audit Department as well as staff in the Security Department and the Medical Centre shall proceed on a break with effect from Tuesday 24th March, 2020 and shall resume duties on the date to be determined by Management.
4. Management shall inform staff and students and the University Community of the date of resumption whenever that is deemed appropriate.
5. Management sincerely advises Staff and Students to be conscious of the need to follow all modalities put in place to prevent and manage the spread of the Covid-19 global pandemic in Nigeria and wishes them Good Health and God’s protection.

Did not choose CRUTECH at all but are interested in the Cross River University of Technology and score 160 and above in the 2019 UTME Examination that the Online Registration for Screening for the Supplementary admissions in the 2019/2020 Academic Session will commence on Monday November 11, 2019 and ends on Wednesday December 18, 2019
