**21 Sins of Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi*

The Governor of Enugu state, Rt. Hon. Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi has committed *twenty-one* unpardonable sins for which there are sponsored media attacks on his person. For instance:

1. Since he came into power, he has paid *salaries* of Enugu workers on or before 25th of every month and retirees' pensions.

No serious government does such.

2. He even pays 13th month, even without receipt of Federal allocation, and does not delay *promotions*.

That's misplacement of priority.

3. He has constructed over 550 kilometers of roads across the state, such as the Agbani -Amuri Road, the Ogonogoeji-Ndiagu-Akpugo Rd, the 49 KM Udenu ring road, the Ogbaku road in Awgu LGA, the Nike lake junction-Harmony Estate Adoration road, and many others.

This is a sign of docility.

4. He activated the 10 million "one community, one project scheme" allowing every community in the state to execute one or two projects of utmost priority.

That's unacceptable!

5. His infrastructural spread cuts across *all the zones* of the state. That's a sign of laziness.

6. He didn't remember to focus only on his zone as he has maintained that he is the governor of the entire state and not just his zone.

That's a sign of amnesia.

7. He does not *brutalise* his traducers. That's an act of naivety.

8. He *fraternizes* with everyone. That's a sign of weakness.

9. He *feeds* humility and benevolence but *starves* class and egotism. That's womanish.

10. His mates elsewhere apply *Machiavellian principle* but he is holding firmly to the outdated concept of *civility.* That's a huge sign of weakness.

11. He is the *most abused* governor since the creation of Enugu state, yet *he has kept his cool.* That's height of docility.

11. He has *soft spot* for everyone, including those in opposition parties; seeing them as his Enugu brothers, and himself as the father of the state. That's political sacrilege.

12. There has been unprecedented *peaceful atmosphere* in Enugu since he assumed office. That's another sign of weakness.

13. He attends people's functions: *the rich and the poor, the affluent and the indigent.* No governor does that.

It shows that he can't feed himself. Such a poor governor!

14. He is connecting *agro-based rural dwellers to the urban areas* for smooth movement of their produce to the city.

Why expose a people who are already aclamatised to life of antiquity to the challenges of modernity? That's an anathema.

15. Many forgotten *roads used as baits for votes* during electioneering campaigns have been *constructed and asphalted* by governor Ugwuanyi. What will vote seekers use to woo the electorate in the future?

This is a huge betrayal.

18. The *price of oil* has kept dwindling in the international market in his tenure, leading to meagre resources available to the state.

The governor should be blamed for the above misfortune.

19. He has awarded scholarships to 680 indigent Engineering students of Enugu state polytechnic Iwolo, and IMT Enugu; constructed and renovated about 590 primary and post-primary school blocks in the state and employed over 5000 teachers.

This is Nrashi mentality and it is unacceptable!

20. He has established the Forest Guard group, revitalised Neighborhood watch and even created a new ministry of security affairs.

This is cluelessness.

21. And he is even *Nwa Nsukka!* Can anything good come out of Nsukka?

Ndi Enugu, it is time to kill the goose that lays the golden egg.

Kogi Yahaya Bello, APC Forcing INEC, NYSC Officials To Signed Prefilled Results Sheets

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alerts the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) that agents of Governor Yahaya Bello and the All Progressives Congress (APC) are threatening and forcing INEC presiding officers, including NYSC members to endorse prefilled results sheets in favour of the APC, in some local government areas, ahead of the poll.

The party confirms that this is ongoing in Okene and Okehi Local Government Areas in Kogi Central Senatorial zone, where the governor and the APC are desperate to allocate fictitious votes and fabricate results in their favour.

Given the magnitude of the manipulation, the PDP urges INEC not to accept any results coming from the Okene and Okehi local government areas as they have already been compromised. Moreover, the PDP and other stakeholders in this election will never accept manipulated results coming from the two local government areas.

The party also calls on security agencies to immediately detail a reinforced team to Okene and Okehi to save the lives of the presiding officers and the NYSC members from the APC and agents of Yahaya Bello.

INEC and security officials must take immediate steps to arrest the situation as the development is already causing tension and could lead to the electorate having no option than to resort to self-help to defend their democratic rights.

The PDP also urges INEC to note that the APC is manipulating the electoral process, causing deliberate delays and swapping of election materials, all in a bid to cause confusion in the process.

For instance, in Kabba/Bunu Okekoko Ward Unit 9, the baby units have been reduced from two to one, a situation that will lead to disenfranchising of voters to reduce votes belonging to the PDP.

Also the serial number on the ballot papers brought to the area is different from numbers on ballot papers released in Abuja for the area. Such swapping of ballot papers is a deliberate ploy to cause confusion and derail the electoral process in PDP stronghold.

The PDP therefore urges INEC to immediately correct all the anomalies as every genuine vote cast must be made to count in this election.

Signed:

Kola Ologbondiyan
National Publicity Secretary
