Don Bosco Institute of Philosophy, Ibadan, operates as part of a world-wide Catholic religious order. Officially known as Don Bosco Institute, it was opened in October 2005, in Ibadan (Nigeria). It belongs to and it is owned by the Salesian Province of West Africa (AFW) which has its headquarte

rs in Ashaiman, Accra (Ghana). Four countries make up the Province: Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone. The Society of St Francis De Sales (The Salesians of Don Bosco) was founded in 1859 by St John Bosco (Don Bosco), who spent all his life working for young people, especially those who were poor and abandoned, making them good Christians and honest citizens. To ensure the continuation of this mission, he founded the Congregation. The Salesian Society is now spread over 130 nations and is in almost all the countries of Africa. Don Bosco is seen throughout Italy, his home country, and in the rest of the world, as a great educator of the nineteenth century who gave to the world a new system of education known as “The Preventive System”

*CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS*

_The Nuntius: A Philosophical Periodical_ , is a quarterly review published by the Don Bosco Varsity College Ibadan, an affiliate of the Università Pontificia Salesiana, Rome. For its maiden edition, the editorial board solicits for articles that reflect adequate research, scholarship, and intelligibility that conform to the following interests:
1. Philosophical and scientific contemporary relevance.
2. Existential insights into and engagement of social matters.
3. Particularity of focus on the African situation.
4. Non-contradiction of fundamental Christian ideals.

With these interests provided, the editorial team strongly recommends that articles are to be submitted to [email protected] within the timeframe running from 23rd March, 2023 till 15th April, should exhibit methodological adherence to the 17th edition of the Chicago Manual of Style. A maximum of 2 pages (footnotes only) is recommended; also, responses as regards the status of submissions will be communicated on or before 30th April.
