The Health Awareness Campaign held on the 20th December 2023 was a success.
We leant on Female Ge***al Mutilation , Hepatitis B , Cervical Cancer and Prostate Cancer .
Female ge***al mutilation (FGM) is a harmful practice that involves the partial or total removal of the external female ge***alia or other injury to the female ge***al organs for non-medical reasons.
Prostate cancer is a common type of cancer that occurs in the prostate gland, a part of the male reproductive system.
It can cause various symptoms, such as trouble urinating, blood in the urine or semen, bone pain, and erectile dysfunction.
Prostate cancer can be diagnosed by tests such as digital re**al examination, blood test, ultrasound, and biopsy.
Treatment options include surgery, radiation therapy, hormone therapy, and chemotherapy.
Prostate cancer can be prevented by eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, maintaining a healthy weight, and avoiding smoking and alcohol.
Cervical cancer is a type of cancer that affects the cells in the cervix, which is the lower part of the uterus that connects to the va**na. It is mostly caused by persistent infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV), a common sexually transmitted infection.
Cervical cancer can be prevented by HPV vaccination, regular screening and treatment of precancerous lesions.
It can also be cured if diagnosed and treated at an early stage.
Hepatitis B is a viral infection that attacks the liver and can cause both acute and chronic disease.
It is transmitted through contact with infected blood or other body fluids.
It can be prevented by vaccination and treated with antiviral drugs.
Female ge***al mutilation (FGM) is a harmful practice that has no health benefits and can cause severe physical and psychological problems for women.
Hepatitis B is a viral infection that can cause liver damage, liver cancer, and even death.
Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer and the fourth leading cause of cancer death in women worldwide.
Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men worldwide.
It is important to raise awareness about these issues and take action to prevent them.
Noone can do it alone we call for stakeholders , NGOs , governments , private sector , students, researchers, teachers , community leaders , religious leaders .
Change starts with me and you , let us join hands to end FGM , prostate cancer , cervical cancer and hepatitis B.
Lets raise awareness , lets get vaccinated , let us teach others and lets us do routine screening.
