Oyo reopens schools.....

Oyo State Governor, Engineer Seyi Makinde has approved the resumption dates for Public and Private Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Institutions in the State.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Education, Barrister Olasukanmi Olaleye, made available to newsmen on Tuesday.

According to the statement, “the resumption date for 2020/2021 academic Session for Public / Private Primary and Secondary Schools as announced by the State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology will commence on Monday, 21st September, 2020.

“The revised Guidelines for Primary and Secondary Schools now include the followings:


a. Schools will now operates morning and afternoon shifting for pupils and students of primary and secondary schools as stated below:

Primary 1-3 8.00 am – 11.00 am

Primary 4 – 6 12 noon – 3.00 pm

JSSS 1 -3 8.00 am – 11.00 am

SSS 1- 3 12 noon – 3.00 am

b. It becomes mandatory for all Schools, Public and Private to constitute Covid-19 Task force to be headed by Heads of Schools with Two members of Staff

c. School Heads are advised to make temporary use of spaces like Laboratories, Libraries and examination hall as classroom where it is necessary in order to observe social distancing.

d. Pupils / Students should be attached to Chairs and Tables as well as discouraging sharing of items.

3. In another development, the Governor has also approved the re-opening of State owned Tertiary institutions and Private Institutions for regular academic activities to commence from Monday 28th September, 2020

Academic Boards and Senate of institutions are expected to fixed their date and comply strictly with Covid 19 guidelines for the reopenings of schools....

THE Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB Change of Course and Institution has COMMENCED for 2020/2021 Academic Session!

THIS is to inform all the candidates who participated in the 2020 JAMB UTME that the change of JAMB course and/or institution for 2020/21 Session has commenced.

Before you Proceed, Please Read This…

This is very important. So don’t skip this information. You will not be able to correct any mistake you made hereafter.

All interested candidates should know the Changes of Course and/or Institution you would like to make changes to.

👉 You are advise to do your own due diligence to ensure that the school you are changing to, is not in the high side when it comes to cut off marks.

👉 You can change one or all your courses/institutions at the same time.

👉 You should note that once the form is submitted, you will NOT be able to make any changes again (unless Jamb has update this)

👉 Candidates should opt for course/Institution that aligns with their subject combination. If you don’t do this, your school will screen you out. Check Jamb Syllabus for more info on this.

👉 Most schools has a lot of candidates already, like University of Ilorin. So be sure you have up to 2 to 4 options, Just in case, your preferred choice is not available, you can take the next option.
How much is JAMB change of course or institution form?

Please note the following;

~ You can change one or all your courses/institutions at the same time.

~ Once the change of course and/or institution form is submitted, you can no longer make any changes again except for change of course and institution that can be done twice.

~ There may be a limited number of schools or courses you can change to, so be sure to have up to 4 options, just in case the one you want to change to is not available.

~ The cost for the change of course and Data correction is N2,500.

~ You can use the one time payment of N2,500 to change your institution, course, name, date of birth, State and Local Government of origin.

CLOSING DATE

As at the time of writing this report, the closing date for 2020 JAMB Change Institution and Course has not been announced.

NECO Releases November/December 2019 SSCE Result

The National Examination Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2019 November/December Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE).

Mr Abubakar Gana, Acting Registrar of the council, made this known in a statement in Abuja on Thursday.

Gana said that a total of 70,140 candidates registered for the examination, and 65,207 sat for English Language out of which 41,214, representing 63 per cent, got either Distinction or Credit.

Also, Provide proof of revenue remittances, Reps tells CAC.

He added that 66,398 candidates sat for Mathematics, out of which 54,565, representing 82.18 per cent, got either Distinction or Credit.

This is to inform all the candidates that participated in the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) 2019 May/June National Business Certificates (NBC) and the National Technical Certificate (NTC) examinations that their results have been released.

The National Business and Technical Examinations Board, said 32,673 candidates that sat for the NBC/NTC examinations scored five credits and above including English Language and Mathematics.

A total of 46,120 candidates obtained five credits and above with or without English Language and Mathematics; thus representing 83.05 percent of the candidates that sat for the same exams.
399 candidates representing 0.72 percent of the examination candidates were found to be involved in examination malpractice.

Participants should follow the steps outlined below to access their results.
How to Check NABTEB Results.
1. Go to http://eworld.nabtebnigeria.org/
2. Enter your Candidate Identification Number e.g. 38001178
3. Select the Type of Examination
4. Enter the 4 digits of your Examination Year e.g. 2019
5. Enter the Card Serial Number found on the reverse side of your Scratch card. The Card Serial Number has an alphabet prefix followed by digits e.g. N123456789
6. Enter the 12-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) on your Scratch card eg. 012345678912
7. Click Submit and wait for the results window to come up

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) says result of its the 2019 West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for school candidates will be released "within the next 24 hours". NYSC Announces Date For 2019 Batch B Stream II
Registration (See Date )

The scheme had in March commenced registration for the 2019
Batch A mobilization exercise while that of Batch B stream II was
opened on June 1.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) says its registration
portal for the 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream ‘II’ mobilization exercise will be
officially open for prospective corps members (PCMs) from June
19.
In a statement released on the scheme’s social media account on
Tuesday, the NYSC also informed the 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream ‘I’
PCMs that they will no longer have access to the portal as their
registration comes to an end on June 12.

“This is to inform 2019 Batch ‘B’ Stream I PCMs that
Online Registration ends tomorrow 12th June, 2019.
The portal will be open for Stream II on Wednesday 19th
June, 2019,” it said via its official Twitter account.

The scheme had in March commenced registration for the 2019
Batch ‘A’ mobilization exercise while that of Batch ‘B’ stream ‘I’
was opened on June 1.
The NYSC had earlier announced that the portal will also be
accessible to part-time graduates, adding that exclusion and call-up
letters will be available on the platform.

“The portal is also open for part-time graduates, register
online so as to be able to print your Exclusion Letter on
your dashboard when PCMs are enabled to print their
Call-up Letters,” the scheme wrote.

NSCDC To Deploy 39 Officers Ahead Of Upcoming JAMB

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Niger
Command, has deployed 39 personnel to provide security for the
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in different
parts of the state.
Mr Phillip Ayuba, Corps Commandant in the state made the
disclosure in an interview with the Newsmen in Minna on Tuesday.
He said the security would be in the 17 computer – based centres
for the 11th conduct of the UTME in Niger, which kicked off on
Tuesday.
Ayuba said that two personnel would provide security in each of the
centres, while five personnel from the headquarters would
supervise the exercise across the state.
The commandant said that the monitoring team had been
constituted to carefully monitor the conduct of the exercise in the
state.
He explained that the corps would work with the Joint Admission
and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to ensure security at the centres
before, during and after the computer-based test.
Ayuba urged prospective candidates to be law abiding, adding that
the NSCDC personnel would be professional in carrying out their
mandate to ensure a hitch-free examination.
He also warned parents against malpractices as anyone found
wanting would be arrested and prosecuted.
