The Faculty of Law of the College of Law, Ifetedo partners the Faculty of Law of the Lagos State University (LASU) to honour the renowned scholar of Islamic Law, Professor Iysa Ade Bello, with a festschrift entitled HOMEGROWN SCHOLAR OF THE DIVINE LEGAL SYSTEM to formally mark his retirement from the academia. The event was witnessed by leading scholars including our own Provost, Professor Mojeed Olujinmi A. Alabi, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr Maruf Adeniyi Nasir, and the Head of the Department of Islamic Law - Dr Aishatu E Adaji. The occasion was chaired by Professor Yusuf Olaolu Ali SAN (Kuliya n Geri of Ilorin) who was represented by Barrister YKO Kareem. Other notable dignitaries included Professor AbdulRazaq Abdulmajeed Alaro who reviewed the book, Professor Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede (Registrar JAMB) who unveiled the book, Professor Muheeb Opeloye formerly of LASU, Professor Omotoso from University of Ilorin, and other Professors, senior academics and students from both Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria and Lagos State University (LASU) as well as friend and families of the honoree including the Iyalode of Ede.

The Vice Chancellor of Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria, Professor Odunayo Clement Adebooye seized the opportunity of his presence yesterday to do a brief facility tour of the College of Law, Ifetedo with specific focus on the block of six studio apartments newly built for health workers! He was conducted round by the Provost of the College, Professor Aare Mojeed Alabi, and joined by Omooba Dotun Babayemi, a Lawyer friend and leading gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Honourable Adeniran Ibitoye (a.k.a.
