UNIZIK: Prof. Kelvin Okolie Emerges Dean, Faculty of Environmental Sciences.

Professor Kelvin Okolie of the Department of Building has emerged as the Dean-elect of the Faculty of Environmental Sciences.

In the election, Prof. Okolie secured 76 votes, while the other contestants garnered the following votes, Professor Austin Ezezue of the Department of Architecture scored 27 votes, Professor Uche Ajator of Quantity Surveying secured 8 votes

The Acting Vice Chancellor, Professor Joseph Ikechebelu, represented by the SAVC (Academic), Professor Ada Sam Omenyi, declared Prof. Okolie the winner. Prof. Omenyi advised the faculty members to unite and cooperate with the new faculty administration.

In his acceptance speech, Prof. K. Okolie thanked God for his emergence and called on the other contestants to join hands with him to move the faculty forward.

Prof. Okolie will officially take over from Professor Chinedu Okoye on Friday, March 14, 2025
