Ilorin Experience and the Golds, UNIzik Dancing Babes, and two other Things
Pls Read, Very Interesting

The 2018 NiMSA games hosted by University of Ilorin has finally come to an end. We won't fail to thank God for the for journey mercies(of all MSAs) to and fro the rendezvous.

The 14hrs journey to Ilorin wasn't without stress though largely a great adventure that Oliver will ask for more. Google map, as usual was our companion, at some points it created fiasco in one of the buses driven by the driver who eats a lot of meat. We spent more than 3hrs in Osun, saw different universities(mostly private) rocky hills waved us safe journey at Ondo State. Finally we got to the University of Ilorin, Kwara State.

UniIlorin is a nice Local Government that one could boast to have come from. The largest varsity by landmass(13,000 Hectares) in Nigeria.
We got good hostels after some hassles thanks to NAUMSA President and his colleagues.

Getting to the Sports arena from the hostel is a 15 minutes journey(with School bus) evidence that UniIlorin is actually an LGA.
We left our hostels to the sports complex by 7AM and got back by 9 or 10PM.(We went to work just like Civil Servants)

UNIzik Dancing Babes
The famous name that other MSAs call our girls. These very girls brought life to NiMSA games with their dance moves. Their dance attracted everyone both the old and young, Rich and poor, Medical Students and mercenaries. They brought life to the event which was once dead. Their names but not their contacts are worthy of mention:
Nwanneka(Captain), Chonke, IJ, Anastesia, Oge, Ebube, Rosemary, and Chinemerem.
At least you guys gave KASUMSA one of the reasons to stay even though they came very late to NiMSA games.
Without these dancing babes...

The Sports and The Golds
With 37 participants(8 UNIzik dancing babes) in the many sporting events, we did what Napoleon could not do. A total of 8 Golds, many silvers and Bronze were won. The events were so much that football what our men are known for clashed with athletics informing our pull-out from football. UNIzik dancing babes weren't only good on the dance floor. They also showed skills on the sports floor. They indeed rep NAUMSA by winning most of the medals for NAUMSA, gingering the boys and also gingering one another on the game.
What of UNIILORIN delicacy? You know what it looks like already.
..and Two Other Things.
1. A sane mind wont forget to thank the NAUMSA president(Comrade Jude Adike), Director of Games(Duru, Henry Jega), Meshach (Master of Savages) etc for the huge role they played to make NiMSA games worthwhile for NAUMSA. Meshach kept the bus alive on our journey. He deserves some accolades. UniLag MSA President(Brammy) thanks for the psychological support to our girls.
2. The host university has done wonderfully well (although not to the extent of Napoleon) Animashaun(Director), Lawal(Frosh) Oluwatobiloba(Jesus kid), Wura(Madame Registrar), Ayomikun, Rosemary,Duncin, etc Thanks for the hospitality.

An erudite scholar and tutor who was very dear to students at the time was a sufferer of the sickle cell disease until his death. Late Dr. Charles Egwuatu, a doyen in the academia worked assiduously for the faculty and indeed won the trust and friendship of NAUMSA. *Hence NAUMSA held her first memorial lecture in his honour in June, 2017*. This was followed by an awareness parade around the nooks and crannies of Nnewi and the hinterlands.
