UPDATE ON 2025/2026 UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS II

As we approach the final phase of the 2025/2026 undergraduate admission exercise, the Admission Office of Modibbo Adama University, Yola wishes to make the following important announcements:

1. Pending Approvals
It has been observed that some candidates still have pending admission approvals that have not been accepted on their JAMB CAPS.

Such candidates are strongly advised to accept immediately to avoid losing their slots.

2. O’Level Result Upload
Some candidates still have no O’Level results uploaded on their JAMB portal.

All affected candidates should visit any JAMB-accredited CBT Centre to upload their results immediately.

3. Wrong Subject Combinations
A number of applicants in programs such as Accounting, Management Technology, Banking & Finance, Economics, Business Education, and Information Technology were not admitted due to missing Mathematics or Economics in their JAMB subject combination or O’Level results.

Such candidates have a high chance of admission if they transfer to any of the following programs:

- Library and Information Science
- Political Science
- Sociology (for those with Government in both JAMB and O’Level results)

⚠️ NOTE: All such changes/transfers must be completed immediately to be considered for admission.

Candidates whose names appear on the list should accept their admission promptly to secure their slot.

MAU STUDENT WINS CIPM REGIONAL QUIZ, TO REPRESENT NORTHEAST AT NATIONAL FINALS

Modibbo Adama University, Yola, has once again brought pride to the institution as one of its students emerged winner of the 2025 Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) Inter-University Quiz Competition, Northeast Regional Level.

The annual competition, designed for undergraduates in Management, Business, and related fields, saw participation from three universities in the region: University of Maiduguri, Kwararrafa University Wukari, and Modibbo Adama University, Yola.

Representing MAU singlehandedly was Abubakar Zubairu, a 400-level student of Business Administration, who showcased remarkable brilliance and resilience. While the other universities fielded three contestants each, Zubairu’s outstanding performance secured him the first position, earning MAU the honor of representing the Northeast Zone at the upcoming national finals later this month.

As part of the regional prize package, the University received a plaque, three CIPM books, and a certificate of recognition. The participant also received a customized T-shirt and cap. The gifts arrived in Yola on Tuesday, August 13, 2025.

This accomplishment not only highlights the talent and dedication of MAU students but also reaffirms the University’s commitment to fostering academic excellence, innovation, and leadership.
