Support NANNM's Demands Now

Nurses are the backbone of the healthcare sector in Nigeria and across the world, yet their critical contributions are being neglected. The **National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM)** is calling for:
1.Creation of Department of Nursing in the Federal Ministry of Health
2.Upward review of peculiar professional allowances for Nurses and Midwives
3.Inclusion of Nurses in the Health Policy-making body
4.Gazetting of Nurses’ Schemes of service as approved by the NCE in 2016, Minna, Niger state (copy attached)
5.Implementation of the National Industrial Court (NIC) judgment of 27th January, 2012(Suit No, NIC/ABJ 16/2020).
6.Payment of owed salaries to the staff of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (N&MCN) since January 2024 till date
7.Opening of Verification portal for Nurses and Midwives without any further delay
8.Employment of Nursing Personnel and adequate provision of health facility equipment.
9.A fair representation by the Association in the Board membership of Tertiary Health Institutions.
10.Centralization of internship posting for graduate Nurses
11.Consultancy for Nurses

We urge *nurse influencers, social media influencers, civil society organizations, healthcare professionals, policy makers, legislators and the all concerned* to join forces in pressuring the federal government to act immediately. Supporting NANNM’s demands means improving the quality of healthcare for all Nigerians.

Now is the time to stand with our nurses and push for the change they deserve!
