SJC UNIJOS STRIKES PARTNERSHIP WITH STER INITIATIVE.

In furtherance of the unflinching resolve of The Student's Judicial Council to combatting cases of sexual harassment in the institution, The Student's Judicial Council on the 11th of may 2021 concluded a partnership agreement with Stand To End R**e (STER) Initiative, a non profit organization, committed to ending incidences of sexual harassment in the society.

The partnership which involves the provision of free litigation, therapy, and help available to Victims of r**e is very essential to the UniJos Student's to speak up when faced with this challenges.

The partnership further targets the implementation of a School - based sexual and gender - based violence (SGBV) prevention program, the drafting of a sexual harassment policy template and the development of a technology based tool/sexual reporting platform that ensures confidential reporting of sexual harassment in our campus, UniJos.

Every year on June 5 Wold Environment Day 2021 is celebrated to spread awareness among people to conserve the environment for a healthy and better future. This day was created by United Nations in 1974 to create awareness regarding the need to protect our surroundings.

In a wake to go digitalise, we have forgotten that our mother nature is vulnerable to technologies that are harming the environment. It is essential to save and rebuild the relationship with nature, as the environment is made up of every living and non-living beings.
The theme for World Environment Day 2021 is “Ecosystem Restoration”.
Ecosystem restoration can take many forms: Growing trees, greening cities, rewilding gardens, changing diets or cleaning up rivers and coasts. This is the generation that can make peace with nature.
Let us give our coming generations a healthier and happier environment to have a beautiful life… Best wishes on World Environment Day.
