SUPPORT THE COMPLETION OF THE MASJID AT UNIVERSITY OF JOS PERMANENT SITE

Alhamdulillah, by the mercy of Allah and the generous support of believers, progress has been made in the construction of our Masjid at the University of Jos Permanent Site. However, we are still far from our goal.

As seen in the images, "Where we are" is a structure under development — walls are rising, and the dream is taking shape. But "Where we want to be with your help" is a beautiful, complete house of Allah that will serve as a center for worship, learning, and unity for students, staff, and the broader Muslim community.

We humbly appeal for your continued support in cash or building materials. Every brick, every naira you contribute brings us closer to completing this noble project. It is a Sadaqah Jariyah — a charity that continues to benefit you even after death.

You may also support by providing building materials or directly sponsoring parts of the project.

May Almighty Allah reward you abundantly. Jazakumullahu Khairan.

Inna lillahi wa Inna ilaihi Rajiun...

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Muslim community of the University of Jos on the passing of Professor Umar Dakas from the Building Department.

Professor Dakas was not only a distinguished academic but also a pillar of strength, wisdom, and integrity within our community. His contributions to the university and his unwavering dedication to the service of Islam and humanity will forever be remembered. Truly, his loss is a great void that cannot be easily filled.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: _“When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), knowledge which is beneficial, or a righteous child who prays for him.”_ (Sahih Muslim). We pray that the knowledge Professor Umar imparted and the lives he touched continue to serve as a source of ongoing reward for him.

May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, expand his grave, and grant him Jannatul Firdaus. May He also grant his family and loved ones the strength and patience to bear this immense loss.

We share in your sorrow and pray that Allah (SWT) comforts all those grieving his passing. Indeed, “To Allah we belong, and to Him we shall return.”
(Quran 2:156).

MSSN CELEBRATES EXCELLENCE

The Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria (MSSN), University of Jos Chapter, joyfully celebrates one of our own, Aisha Suleiman Muhammad, who has emerged as the overall best graduating student with a First-Class Degree in Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Jos.

This remarkable achievement is historic, as it is the first time in many years that such a feat has been recorded in the Faculty. It is not just a personal victory for Aisha, but a source of pride and inspiration to the entire Muslim community, the University of Jos, and the North as a whole.
Her story is one of resilience, hard work, and faith. Despite the many challenges along the way, Aisha remained steadfast, proving that with determination and reliance on Allah, excellence is attainable.

We believe this accomplishment will serve as a beacon of hope and encouragement to young Muslim girls and students everywhere — reminding them that nothing is impossible when you combine dedication with prayer.

On behalf of the MSSN Unijos family, we congratulate Aisha and pray that Allah continues to guide her path, grant her greater heights in her career, and make her a source of benefit to humanity.

Signed,
MSSN University of Jos Chapter
