Lemme Just Loud It!™
A healthy dose of Pain, Failure, & Hurt is good for your mental health.
If you don't consume Pain just as you consume Joy you may soon commit su***de.
I know that I have ruffled your feathers but calm down. I will explain.
Bombarding your mind with too much image of Happiness, Joy & Luxury will erode gratitude from your life and lead to depression.
Learn to appreciate Pain, Failure & Hurt.
One powerful way to stay sane in an insane world is to appreciate pain.
Pain is not abnormal, it is a part of life.
Take some time off Social Media and go into the streets.
Visit an orphanage, a hospital, the prison and the people who beg for alms on the road side.
Invest in consuming Pain and Failure just as much as you consume Happiness, Joy & luxury.
Hardly would you find people publishing their Pain, Failures, Hurt and Weaknesses on Social Media even though they experience all these in real life.
The streets of Social Media is paved with a similitude of perfection, luxury and accomplishments.
If you consume only that then you'd soon plunge into depression and even suicidal thoughts.
You'd feel like you are making no progress in life.
However, when you make a conscious decision to leave Social Media and venture into the streets of real life... You'd encounter real people who are experiencing real pain, hurt and failure.
What this does for you is that it keeps you grateful for the things you have going well in your life.
You feel like you are making progress since some people are in a worse place.
You have food to eat whereas Mr. A does not have that luxury.
You can stand and bathe yourself but Miss B has to rely on someone else to bathe them.
You have a comfortable bed to sleep in but Mr. C is sleeping under the bridge and in the cold.
Thinking like this will produce hope and joy within you and ease your anxiety.
As you compare your life with the BEST on Social Media don't also forget to compare your life to the WORST in Real Life.
This is the antidote for depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts because there is power and liberation in knowing that your case is not the worst. Someone somewhere is going through worse.
This will liberate you.
To be HUMBLE, compare yourself with the BEST.
To be GRATEFUL, compare yourself with the WORSE.
You need a healthy dose of HUMILITY & GRATITUDE if not you'd soon fizzle out.
If all you have is GRATITUDE you'd stop pressing for more.
If all you have is HUMILITY you'd soon start getting depressed.
Many young people are commiting su***de now more than ever because of an unhealthy consumption of SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT.
They are comparing their lives and achievements with that of someone whose PAIN, HURT and FAILURES you can't appreciate.
Life is YING & YANG.
DAY & NIGHT.
BLACK & WHITE.
UP & DOWN
The moment balance is disrupted... Chaos follows almost immediately.
GET OF SOCIAL MEDIA AND GET INTO YOUR LIFE.
