STUDENTS AS AGENTS OF PEACE: PRACTICAL TOOLS FOR CAMPUS AND COMMUNITY PEACE BUILDING

Peace is not just desired, it must be built.
Students are not just learners; they are influencers, leaders, and change-makers within their campuses and communities.
This panel focuses on how students can become active promoters of peace, not just observers.
We will explore:
• Practical tools for conflict resolution
• How to promote unity across differences
• Ways to lead peace-building initiatives on campus and beyond
Because real change does not always start from the top, it often begins with young people who choose to act differently.

• Every conversation you shape, every action you take, contributes to a more peaceful society.

📌 The question is simple: Will you be a bystander, or a builder of peace?

GROUND REALITIES OF INSECURITY IN NORTHERN NIGERIA
🚨 Let’s face the truth. Let’s talk reality.
Insecurity in Northern Nigeria is no longer a distant issue—it is something that affects our schools, our communities, and our future as young people.

💡 Because you cannot solve a problem you don’t understand.
This session is for students who are ready to:
• Ask the hard questions
• Understand the root causes
• Contribute to meaningful solutions

The conversation starts here.

It has been shown that the mechanism of natural selection can be successfully taught to children as young as 5 years old through story books and activities while 7-9year old students had predominant teleological explanations of the origins of traits, these could be significantly reduced by a short intervention in classroom settings.
