*WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO STUDY?*

This post will get you acquainted with the best time to study, practical ways to read and understand and how you can get started immediately, without distractions and 100% focus.
Share with other students so they can benefit from it.

Studying means to revise already learned materials in order to acquire more knowledge on the subject. It requires uninterrupted pondering on a subject and is usually in preparation for an examination.

*How do I know the best time to study?*
💥 *Know yourself*. Are you a morning person or a night owl? Some people have optimal energy in the early hours of the morning while other in the late hours of the night. Find out the most convenient time and stick to it.

💥 *Know your environment*. For every noisy environment, there at some hours of serenity. No one wants to study in a noisy environment, target the quiet moments and grab a book to study.

💥 Know your body/responses. Studying the way the body responds to certain situations, helps to determine the most suitable study time. Are you active in the morning? Do you have more energy on Thursdays? Is there something that propels you to study? Find out what it is.

*More helpful tips?*
✨ Reduce heavy food intake

✨ Stay hydrated

✨ Stick diligently to your study time

✨ Have a study/ accountability partner

✨ Take some rest after studying

Study time is nothing without a study schedule.
There's no perfect time to start studying but now!

Deadline/Closing Date For The Uploading of WAEC/NECO Result

The truth is that JAMB has not given any official deadline/ closing date for the uploading of O’level results on its portal. However, Jamb expects all admission seekers to upload their O’level results before any school will consider them for admission.

Going by the announcement made by JAMB earlier concerning the admission deadline, we can say that the uploading of results will end on or before the deadline for admission for the 2022/2023 session.

However, it all depends on the schools, different schools will have a different deadline for uploading of results. The one for one school maybe this month while the one for another school maybe next month depending on the admission timeline of that school. So if you ask me, I will advise you to ensure you upload your O’level results immediately and for candidates their WAEC and NECO results have just been released, you are to upload it immediately to avoid delayed admission or no admission at all.

So this is all you need to know at the moment concerning the JAMB Deadline for uploading O’level Results To Jamb Portal. We hope we have been able to calm your nerves concerning the deadline/closing date for the uploading of WAEC/NECO results. If there happens to be any update on this from JAMB, we will surely let you know.

How To Calculate Screening Score based On O’level Result

schoolnews Admission, Undergraduate Admission, UTME/DE

Some schools usually screen candidates using the POINT GRADE SYSTEM. If your school of choice is going to screen candidates using only O’level results and JAMB score, then they will likely use the point grade system. This means that each grade you have in your O’level results represents a certain point. The same thing also applied to your JAMB Score.

However, the truth is that how these points are determined varies from one institution to the other. All schools do not use the same point grading system to determine the total Post-UTME admission screening score of candidates at the end of the day.

To further explain this, let’s take a look at the O’level result POINT GRADING SYSTEM method used by the Lagos State University (LASU) and University of Ibadan (UI) last year;

LASU O’level result POINT GRADING SYSTEM for last year

O\LEVEL SSCE (WAEC/NECO/NABTEB) GRADING POINTS
GRADE POINT
A 10
A2 (B2) 9
A3 (B3) 8
C4 7
C5 6
C6 5
TOTAL OBTAINABLE50 %
PS: This varies from institution to institution

Possible Point Grading System For O’ Level Result:

Only the five (5) relevant subjects on your O’level result with the best grades will be used to calculate your screening score. Your O’level result will contribute 40% of your total admission screening score in this order;

A1-8%

B2-7%

B3-6%

C4-5%

C5-4%

C6-3%

This means that if you have Five (5) straight A1, you have -40%

If you have Five (5) straight B2, you’ve scored -35%

If you have Five (5) straight B3, you’ve scored -30%

If you have Five (5) straight C4, you’ve scored -25%

If you have Five (5) straight C5, you’ve scored -20%

If you have Five (5) straight C6, you’ve scored -15%
Possible Point Grading System For JAMB Result:

Whatever you have as your JAMB score will contribute 60% of your total admission screening score in this order:
180-189 = 10%

190-199 = 20%

200-209 = 30%

210-219 = 40%

220-229 = 50%

230 & Above = 60%
With the above explanation, you can easily calculate your possible admission screening score or percentage by adding the percentage of your O’ level result and the percentage of your JAMB Result.

*Hi Cheta, I have registered for post utme, but I want to change my course because my jamb score is low. Will it be possible to change it?*

*YES IT IS POSSIBLE*
In previous years, this wouldn’t have been possible because you can only change course or institution before post UTME but with the current admission process, this is now actually possible.

This is because JAMB allows you to change to as many schools as possible and to many courses as possible so far you meet the requirements for the institution and for the course.

So, the answer is YES! Changing of course never ends irrespective of schools. All institutions will continuously be allowing changing of courses after Post UTME and even after admission given. Hence, it’s possible for candidates to change their courses before, during, and after post UTME.

However, there is an exception to it. Some schools will only allow you to change to them only if their Post-UTME registration form is still on sale, and in that case, you will have to ensure you register for the Post-UTME of such school before it closes.

So after writing the Post-UTME of one school and you want to change to another school, it is advisable you do that while the Post-UTME form of the school you want to change to is still on sale. This is because some of the schools may no longer accept changes once they conclude Post-UTME screening exercise and begin the compilation of names for admission.
