What you must do in 2024 if you want to grow.

Goal setting and accountability partner

If you really serious about changing your situation this 2024

Please write your plans down. At least have the discipline to do that. Success is not cheap, it requires a lot, strong mind and boldness to venture into the unknown, if you are too careful, you will remain average.

Dare the impossible. But first write your goal down, it helps you focus your energy.

Secondly develop the discipline to follow your set goal. Discipline is doing what you hate to get what you love. It might not be sweet now but it will produce sweet result.

It will be easier for you to develop the discipline to achieve your goal when you build a system around it, a system helps you maintain a routine of habit.

Say time you wake up, drink water, study 30 minutes, meditate 20 minutes etc.

After developing the system, focus on the system and less on the goal, the system will lead you to the goal.

Lastly, get an accountability partner. Somebody that will push you to achieve your goal, show the person your goal and let the two of you work together in achieving them. Have a time frame for the actualization of the goal.

Your accountability partner is like a watch dog over you, he or she pushes you back on track when you deviate.

When flights were 32k from Lagos to Portharcourt, a friend of mine booked a to and fro flight = 64k.

His monthly salary then was 85k.

When we met, he told me that he came by air.

I just quickly went to Airpeace website and saw that the ✈️ fee was 64 to and fro.

I had this conversation with him.

Me: Guy, you came by flight?

Him: Yes, I did. I came by Airpeace.

Me: Abeg, how much did you say is your salary again?

Him: 85k.

Me: And, you spent 64k on flight. This is excluding airport taxi and other logistics. So, over 80% of your monthly salary on a single transportation. That's not feeding, rent, etc.

Him: Keeps quiet.

Me: Was there an important personality that you knew was entering that flight and you wanted to connect with him?

Him: No?

Me: So, why did you enter flight?

Him: It's faster and safer.

Me: Where you dey rush go? You just wanted to snap pictures, take videos, and massage your ego that you have taken flight.

There are many of us who do this.

We are eating in restaurants that are way above our budgets.

We are wearing cloths, shoes, accessories that are far above our income.

You did a job of 100k, you want to spend 70-80k on things that bring no return.

Who do you want to impress?

There is no competition in this world. The only competition you have is within you: That your today is better than your yesterday.

I've learned to face my front, enjoy the pace, and growth.

Do not live above your income.
