It is with great excitement to announce to you that the US Council On Foreign Relations, one of the biggest foreign relations organisation in the world, has made me a CFR Education Ambassador.

My excitement is really hinged on the opportunity this responsibility provides in equipping our students in for a dynamic world.

As someone who has trained a number of people from different walks of life, including young adults with trips to Europe and some other countries for Model UN conferences, I have witnessed first hand how students passionately participate in simulated policymaking programs to impact communities and influence cultures. And with and the opportunities are even taken further and better enhanced.

I am convinced that my appointment as a creates the bridge that forges a solid partnership between Council On Foreign Relations and Model United Nations Academy towards:

1. Preparing students to "thrive in a world where challenges and opportunities transcend borders".

2. Empowering students with essential knowledge about the world.

3. Equipping students with relevant skills and perspective to be responsible global citizens.

The United Nations is an international organisation formed to preserve world peace and prevent another world war from erupting after the failure of the League of Nations to do so.

Since there has not been a world war since its inception, the United Nations has been considerably successful in delivering its duty to preserve world peace. Although, it has faced many challenges from member states, especially with those wielding the veto power.

The speech was from Dag Hammarskjold who was the second secretary-General of the United Nations who served from 1953 till he hadin a plane crash in Zambia (formerly known as Northern Rhodesia).
