Alumni Spotlight | Sister Mary Jovita Ejimonye
For years, Sister Mary Jovita Ejimonye, a member of the Sisters of Divine Love Congregation, focused on producing fufu (akpu) from cassava. While the business served her customers well, she saw the opportunity to do more.
Today, she has expanded her enterprise to include garri processing, allowing her to reach a wider market and increase her income. What started as a small cassava-processing venture has grown into a more efficient operation, with machines that handle different stages of processing, from grinding to frying.
Sister Mary’s journey is one of growth, resilience, and a willingness to embrace new opportunities. Through her work, she continues to create value from agriculture while building a more sustainable future for her business and community.
