SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS TO THE NEWLY APPOINTED MUFTY OF YORUBA LAND
The Mudir of Markaz, Mawla Sheikh Muhammed Habibullah Adam Abdullah El-Ilory (O.O.N.) has extended his special congratulatory remarks to the newly appointed Mufty of Yoruba Land amidst the spirit of his inauguration.
The newly appointed mufty of Yoruba, Sheikh Abdul-Rasaq Abdul-Azeez Ishola, is an erudite and well-enlightened scholar in Southwest Nigeria. His erudition is enriched with his participations over the years in many local and international conferences across the world.
Sheikh Abdul-Rasaq Abdul-Azeez is a balanced scholar with moderate Ideological thoughts who has contributed significantly to the growth of Islam in Yorubaland.
Before his appointment as the new mufty of Yorubaland, Sheikh Abdul-Rasaq was a member of the National Moon Sighting Committee of the Nigerian Supreme Council of Nigeria. He has also been a strong member of the League of Imams and Scholars of Yorubaland (Rabitat-ul-Aimma wal-Ulama) where his consistent contributions have over the years enriched the league. He also served as the Deputy Mufty of Ikorodu Land for many years and he is well conversant with so many fatwas in this modern era.
His moderate ideology and refined character as well as continuous research in contemporary Jurisprudence and verdicts project him as suitable for the position.
