While the aura of Christmas is everywhere now, there is no doubt that consumers spend a lot more during the festive season than (safety) they would normally do during the year, on gifts, food, entertainment, travel, events, and spoiling loved ones. Of a truth, while some consumers had ample time ...

Parenting Tips: Making Communication a Priority.

No doubt about that ,we are in the Age that things are done differently and so you can't expect kids to do everything simply because you, as a parent, "say so." They want and deserve explanations as much as adults do. If we don't take time to explain, kids will begin to wonder about our values and motives and whether they have any basis. Parents who reason with their kids allow them to understand and learn in a nonjudgmental way.

Make your expectations crystal clear. If there is a problem, describe it, express your feelings, and invite your child to work on a solution with you. Be sure to include consequences. Make suggestions and offer choices. Be open to your child's suggestions as well. Kids who participate in decisions are more motivated to carry them out.

You may ask,; Can a girl get pregnant if she has s*x during her period?

This is total Yes, a girl can get pregnant during her period. This might happen when if;

She has bleeding that she thinks is a period, but it's bleeding from ovulation .

What is Ovulation then? Ovulation is the monthly release of an egg from a girls ovaries. It is the time when she is most likely to get pregnant if she has s*x.

Ovulation happens before the bleeding from a girl's period has stopped.
Ovulation happens within a few days after a girl's period is over. S***m can fertilize an egg for 3 days. So if a girl has s*x on the last day of her period and ovulates in the next few days, the s***m may still fertilize the egg.

Having unprotected s*x at any time is risky. Along with the risk of getting pregnant, you could also get an STD, such as chlamydia, ge***al warts, or HIV. The only way to completely
Cqgprevent pregnancy and STDs is abstinence (not having s*x).

If you do have s*x, use a condom every time to protect against unplanned pregnancy and s*xually transmitted Diseases(STDs). For added protection, many couples use condoms along with another method of birth control, like birth control pills or an IUD.

Talk to your doctor about the best type of birth control for you. *xeducation

Recipe to Su***de Among Youths Nowadays

The su***de attempt by a young man this weekend at Ikoyi link bridge in Lagos shows that many of the Nigerian youth are facing great deal of mental health challenge. You may want to ask ,why should one wants to take his or her life? Well, whatever may be the reasons are considered baseless. If you take your life , even though appropriate authorities shows concerns or not , you are at a total loss.

However, since many of the challenges young people face are outside of their control, we need a whole-of-society effort to support youth mental health and wellbeing.

That said, below are important steps young people themselves can take to protect, improve, and advocate for their mental health and that of their family, friends, and neighbors:
Remember that mental health challenges are real, common, and treatable.

Struggling with your mental health does not mean you are broken or that you did something wrong. Mental health is shaped by many factors, including biology and life experiences, and there are many ways mental health challenges can be addressed.

✓Ask for help. Find trusted adults, friends, or family members to talk to about stressful situations. For
example, if you or someone you know is being bullied, tell a trusted adult. If you are struggling to
manage negative emotions, reach out to a school nurse or counselor, a teacher, a parent or caregiver,
a coach, a faith leader, or someone else you look up to and trust.

✓Look into therapy or counseling
resources to get support when something causes distress and interferes with your life. Reaching out to others can be hard and takes courage, but it is worth the effort and reminds us we are not alone.

✓Invest in healthy relationships.
Social connection is a powerful buffer to stress and a source of
wellbeing. But too often in our fast-paced lives, quality time with people gets crowded out. Make
space in your life for the people you love.

✓Spend time with others regularly, in-person and virtually.
Find people who support and care about you and have open and honest conversations with them
about your feelings.

✓Get involved in group activities, such as recreation and outdoor activities, after-school programs, and mentorship programs.

✓Find ways to serve. Volunteering in your community and helping others can be a great way to connect with people, build a sense of purpose, and develop your own sense of self-worth.

✓Helping others when you are the one struggling can seem counterintuitive. But service is a powerful antidote to isolation, and it reminds us that we have value to add to the world.
