Most students start their research with Google.

But here’s the difference: while Google gives you general knowledge, the e-library gives you specific, validated academic knowledge.

Through the e-library, you can access high-quality research materials, including peer-reviewed articles and scholarly publications that are accepted in academic work. You can also explore our university’s institutional repository at kwasuspace.kwasu.edu.ng, where you will find theses, dissertations, and research produced within the institution.

Using the e-library helps you move from just “searching” to actually researching.

Research in education shows that students understand and retain information better when they study from multiple sources rather than relying on a single set of notes.

Library resources such as textbooks, journals, and reference materials present ideas in different ways, helping learners grasp concepts more clearly and deeply.

Using only lecture notes may limit your understanding, but combining them with library materials can significantly improve how well you learn.

3 Days to Go…

Imagine this…

You walk into a room and pick up a book.
That one book changes how you think, how you see the world, maybe even how you see yourself.

Now pause. What kind of book would that be for you?

A story that inspires you?
A book that challenges how you think?
Or one that simply gives you peace?

In just 3 days from now:
Books will meet minds.
Minds will meet ideas.
Ideas will meet curiosity.
Curiosity will meet growth.
Growth will meet purpose. And,
You will meet a new version of yourself.

Be there. I'll be there. To Go All In On Reading.

5 Days to Go! World Book & Copyright Day 2026

The countdown is getting closer.

In just 5 days, we'll gather to celebrate the power of books, ideas, and creativity.

World Book & Copyright Day is not just about celebrating books, it is about recognizing the power of reading in shaping minds, building knowledge, and preserving ideas. It also highlights the importance of protecting intellectual creativity, ensuring that authors, researchers, and thinkers are valued for the knowledge they share.

In a time where information is everywhere, the ability to read, understand, and use credible knowledge has never been more important. This is why this day, recognized globally by UNESCO, continues to hold significance.

So mark your calendar, tell a friend, and get ready.

Did You Know

Research shows that students forget up to 70% of what they study within 24 hours if they don’t review it, a concept known as the forgetting curve.

This is why the library is important. It provides a space and resources that encourage revision, deeper reading, and repeated exposure to information, which improves understanding and memory.

Don’t just read once and move on. Return to the library, revisit the material, and strengthen your understanding.

In 3 Idiots, a Bollywood movie, the students struggled under pressure, expectations, and fear of failure. But the turning point came when they stopped chasing fear and started focusing on understanding and growth.

You don’t win by panicking, you win by learning.

This week, take control of your growth.
Study with intention. Learn with curiosity. Move at your own pace.

Visit the KWASU Bibliotherapy and Cinematherapy Unit, the library supports not just your academics, but also your mindset.

This day signifies the importance of reading, learning, and the protection of intellectual creativity, and this year, you get to experience it right here at Kwara State University.

Every great mind was shaped by something they read, something they heard, or something they experienced. This could be that moment for you.

Come ready to be inspired. Come ready to think differently. Come ready to go all in.

The Countdown is ON!

1️⃣5️⃣ Days to go

Something big is coming… and you don’t want to hear about it after it’s over.

World Book & Copyright Day 2026 is almost here.

Think about it, when was the last time you read something that truly changed your perspective? This is your chance to be in that space where ideas are shared and minds are opened. The kind of atmosphere one speaker or one book can shift how you see everything.

Recognized globally by UNESCO, this is your opportunity to be part of something bigger, right here in our own university.

The only question is, will you be there or will you hear about it later?
