Dear Lady,
I know you have mentally designed your wedding gown in your head, you have chosen the colour of the day; pinkish yellow and forest green seems like the perfect combination for that beautiful day.
You can't wait to cry and kiss your groom on that day or even have a wedding that would be the talk of the 'country'.
I know you have already pictured in your head the hall you guys would use and who among your friends you would select to be your Chief bridesmaid, but my dear, ponder what I am about to say for a moment.
*'What if'!*
What if the reality of life is beyond the wedding day, the wedding night or even the exclusive honeymoon?
What if the reality of life is far beyond bearing a 'Mrs' before your name or having butterflies running in your stomach all week?
What if there is more to your life than the exquisite bridal train or even the cute Photoshoots and people blushing on your behalf?
...
Do you know that there is something called purpose and it is not exclusive to only men?
You said you want a purpose-driven man who loves God but are you ready mentally, intellectually and otherwise for him when he comes?
Do you know it is an error to wear a clean suit on bathroom slippers?
When he is living his intentional life, what would you be doing?
How do you hope to contribute and support his dreams and visions when you are currently not been building capacity?
How do you plan on handling the weight and burden that comes with purpose fulfilment as the helper?
What contributions do you hope on bringing to the table?
Are s*x and food your only advantage?
Ask yourself this question; after the wedding, what next? After the kisses, 💋the roses,🌹 the chocolates, 🍫the blushes, what next?
Let's stretch it a bit longer......
After the 4 kids, what next?
There is more to marriage sweetheart , not just that, there is more to your life.
You are meant for more.
so instead of waiting and hoping that a prince in shining armour will come and sweep you off your feet someday, why don't you also start building capacity and working on your purpose so that you can also be a blessing to him when he comes?
Work on yourself so that one day, he can look at you as a proud husband and say "God bless the day you walked into my life".
Because you didn't walk into his life as a liability but as an asset and a woman with a difference who brought grace into his life.
