TOP REASONS WHY YOU MAY NOT GAIN ADMISSION INTO FUTO THIS YEAR

And How to Avoid Them as a Smart Aspirant

Every year, thousands of students miss out on admission into FUTO — not because they aren't intelligent — but due to avoidable mistakes. As a smart aspirant, staying informed gives you an advantage.

Here are the common reasons that can stop you from gaining admission into FUTO and how to avoid them:

---

1. Wrong JAMB Subject Combination

Choosing subjects that do not align with your desired course automatically disqualifies you. For example:
✔️ Engineering: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
✔️ Computer Science: English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
✔️ Medical Courses: English, Biology, Chemistry, Physics

💡 Tip: Always verify your subject combination. You can ask me or any of the group admins for guidance. Also, check the PDF attached for correct subject combinations for each course.

---

2. Not Meeting the Required Cut-off Mark

For competitive courses like Computer Science, Engineering, or Health Sciences, meeting the bare minimum cut-off is not enough.

💡 Tip: Aim far above the general cut-off mark to increase your chances.

---

3. Failure to Upload O’Level Result on JAMB CAPS

Without uploading your WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or equivalent result on JAMB CAPS, FUTO will not process your admission.

💡 Tip: Visit a JAMB-accredited CBT centre to upload and confirm your result status online.

---

4. Wrong or Conflicting Registration Details

If your name, course, date of birth, or other details differ between your JAMB, FUTO Post-UTME, and O’Level documents, your admission may be affected.

💡 Tip: Cross-check your details thoroughly during every stage of the registration process.

---

5. Late Change of Institution or Course

Delaying your change of institution or course to FUTO reduces your chances significantly.

💡 Tip: Make necessary changes early before the deadline.

---

6. Lack of Verified Information

Many aspirants fall for rumors and fake news. FUTO releases official admission instructions every year.

💡 Tip: Follow trusted platforms, the official FUTO website, or reliable groups for verified updates. You can also ask me or other group admins for the latest information.

---

7. Failure to Register or Participate in Post-UTME Screening

No matter how good your JAMB score is, without participating in FUTO's Post-UTME or online screening, you won’t be considered.

💡 Tip: Stay updated and ensure you register and participate in the screening process.

---

8. Choosing FUTO as Second Choice

FUTO strictly considers only First Choice candidates for admission.

💡 Tip: Make FUTO your First Choice during your JAMB registration or apply for a change if you haven't already.

---

9. Low Aggregate Score

FUTO calculates an aggregate score using your JAMB score and O’Level grades. If your aggregate is too low, your chances for competitive courses drop.

💡 Tip: Calculate your aggregate early. You can ask me or the admins to help you calculate your current score and guide you on your chances or next steps.

---

Conclusion:
Admission into FUTO is competitive, but with the right information and timely actions, you can secure your spot. Stay active in this group, ask questions, and follow all official updates.

Wishing you success in your admission journey! 🎉
