Copied One day, my daughter came back home from school looking really unhappy. It was evident that something was bothering her. Naturally, I asked her if she wanted to talk about it.
She opened up and told me that one of her classmates had been frustrating her. Apparently, he was threatened by her academic performance, and he chose to take it out on her. It broke my heart to see my daughter going through this. I knew I had to offer her some words of wisdom and support.
I told her that when she goes back to school, she should approach the boy and let him know that she does not compete with anyone. I explained to her that just like the sun and the moon, each person has their unique glory and purpose. She should encourage him to always try his best and commit his ways to God's hands.
To my surprise, when my daughter talked to the boy, he broke down and explained that his parents always put pressure on him to take the first position in class s. He was constantly afraid of disappointing them, which is why he had been so mean to her. He genuinely apologized for his behavior.
Since then, something beautiful has happened. My daughter and the boy have become best friends. They support and encourage each other to excel in their studies. It's amazing how a little understanding and compassion can transform a situation.
This experience has taught me an important lesson as a parent. We need to be mindful of the seeds we are sowing in our children. The pressure to achieve certain expectations can sometimes lead them down the wrong path. We must foster an environment of love, acceptance, and growth.
