How To Gain Admission Easily Into the Northwest University Sokoto.

The most important requirement in gaining admission into a private University is an O level or A level certificate with the right subject combination of the desired course of study.

Different schools will require some specific documents but the general primary requirements have been listed below. These requirements are applied to most Nigerian private universities. They are;

1- A minimum of 5 credits in the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE/GCE) O’ Level in a maximum of 2 sittings.

2- A minimum mark of 140 in the Unified Tertiary matriculation examination (UTME) out of a maximum of 400 marks.

3- JAMB Change of Institution.

Visit the nearest JAMB Office or CBT registration centre. Inform the officer you want to apply for a change of institution. Make sure to fill out the correct data.

4- Waiting for Admission: When admissions decisions are released, we will inform the candidates to go and check their Admission status on our website, www.nwus.edu.ng Log in to the student portal and Accept the Admission.

ACCEPTANCE OF CHANGE OF PROGRAMME BY CANDIDATES SEEKING ADMISSION INTO THE NORTHWEST UNIVERSITY SOKOTO, FOR THE 2022/2023 ACADEMIC SESSION.

This is to inform all prospective and eligible
UTME candidates who applied for admission into the Northwest University Sokoto, as their First Choice institution, for the 2022/2023 Academic Session that, they are required to check their JAMB Profile/
Account through the Board’s website. ( https://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility../ ) immediately for the new programme changed for the following reasons:

1- Wrong subject combination at UTME.

2- Wrong programme selection.

The steps are as follows:

1. Login with your email and password.

2. Click ‘Check Admission Status’.

3. Click on the ‘Access My CAPS’ Button.

4. Click ‘Transfer Approval’.

5. Click ‘Accept’ Button to accept the change of Course/Programme.

Once a candidate accepts, the University would be able to admit him/her in the new Course/Programme. Otherwise, the candidate stands to lose the admission.

All candidates are advised to take note and comply accordingly, please.
