The Management of King's Kids Christian Schools organizes PROFESSIONAL TRAINING for staff

🔥The training was anchored by SET APART ACADEMY, UK

🔥The training held on the 18th of August 2023 in the Kings Hall of Fame.

🔥The facilitator, Dr(Mrs) Eno Anwana stressed on the importance of having a Safeguarding Policy for the school.

🔥She explained that safeguarding is the practice of providing a learning environment where learners as well as teachers would feel safe and protected from harm and abuse.

She said that the practice of safeguarding is of utmost benefit to everyone in the school community and that the policy enables the school to achieve a balance in both attitude and character regulation for students, staff as well as parents.

She equally emphasized that there must be a safeguarding officer who the whole school reports safeguarding issues to. This staff must be given all the necessary authority to handle safeguarding issues, and his her judgement must be respected by management. All complaints from parents must be directed to the officer without interference from any other authority.

Class teachers and subject teachers must take all observations of any noticed sign of abuse or misbehaviors of students to this officer, and the officer documents it and writes officially to the parents.

The second module of the training focused on temperaments.

Dr. Mrs Anwana led the staff to x-ray the four major temperaments and how each impacts on relationship with students and colleagues as well as on the delivery of their jobs.

The four major temperaments are

1. The fun-loving Sanguine
2. The powerful choleric
3. The peaceful phlegmatic
4. The organized melancholy.
