UNIUYO ADMISSION SCREENING EXERCISE 2016/2017

Eligible candidates should pay the sum of N2.000 (Two Thousand Naira) only via Remila Platform.

Instructions for Online Registration and Payment

Visit http://eportals.uniuyo.edu.ng or www.uniuyo.edu.ng (Click on e-portals link)Select Post UTME link and Click on Create Account LinkEnter your details and click on Create Account ButtonClick on Make PaymentSelect Bank Option or Card OptionsClick on Generate e-invoice (Bank Option) or Online Payment (Card Option)Click on Print e-invoice (To generate RRR # to make payment at any Bank Branch Nationwide)For card option, select the payment type and click pay, on the payment platform displayedEnter your card details and click the “Pay” buttonAfter payment at the bank or via card, return to the portal and click on Login Form Link and enter your Remits Retrieval References Number (RRR) generated to complete your registration.

DOCUMENT REQUIRED AT SCREENING VENUE.

Candidates are required to come for the Screening Exercise with the following items:

Four (4) copies of the University of Uyo 2016 ON-LINE registration form duly completed with the passport-size photograph printed in colour.Four (4) copies of 2016 JAMB(UTME) Result printoutFour (4) recent passport-size photographs on red background (same photograph as the one used for the on-line registration) with the name, UTME registration number and signature of the candidate on the reverse side of the photographs. These should be packaged in quarto- size envelope and labeled with name, department and JAMB registration number.

As part of our electoral campaign promises to the people , this is to bring to the notice of students from Uyo Senatorial District studying in higher institutions of learning in the state and beyond, that the Senator representing Akwa Ibom North East , Obong Bassey Albert (OBA) has initiated an educational empowerment scheme, aimed at promoting excellence and providing financial assistance to undergraduates from the Senatorial District.
Interested applicants are requested to:
i. Visit the official website of the Senator, www.senatoroba.org , navigate through to the "Scholarship scheme" page.
ii. Applicants are expected to fill the application form and attach the following documents:
-Letter of Admission
-Certificate of Origin
-Passport Photograph

Please note that all applications must be made online.

iii. Applicants are also advised to kindly follow the official page of the Senator and subscribe to the OBA blog on the website for further information as well as future empowerment programmes updates.

ELIGIBILITY
i. Applicants must be studying in Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges of Education at any level.

PRESIDENT SIGNS 2015/2016 BUDGET.

President Comrade Joseph Etuk , has appended his signature to the 2015/2016 budget of the Students' Union Government which authorised the executives and legislature to implement capital components in the budget.

Special Assistant to the President on media, Comrade Faith Usanga confirmed the development in a statement made available to the Directorate of Information and Public Relations on Sunday.

Usanga explained that the President assent became necessary in view of the fact that he is committed to ensure sustainable change and development to students of University of Uyo.

He said , "Further to the goodwill of the President on the subject , we deem it appropriate to issue this release.

" Comrade Etuk Joseph has assented to the 2015/2016 budget tagged budget of change passed by the Senate.

Among other things, projects expected include: Mini water project in major hostels on campus , Bus terminals at main campus , LED digital billboard at main town campus for easy flow of information and many other life touching projects from both arms of government.

The 2015/2016 budget will likely be one of the last big legislative efforts before the 2016/2017 election.

However, the office of the Director of Information declines to divulge much of the backstory on the budget figures , simply calling the private talks " Professional " .

STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME IS PREGNANT.

We are excited to announce our student health insurance scheme updates for the sensitization exercise today. Surpassingly, over 2000 students enrolled in today's exercise.

The United Healthcare International is aiming to provide healthcare services to all students of University of Uyo , so , we look forward to have all students take part in it.
While we give all thanks and honour to the Almighty God for the huge successes today , we would like to express our sincere thanks and appreciation both to the Vice Chancellor Professor Enefiok Essien , Dean of Students Dr. Mrs. Isongesit Solomon and other principal officers who took time out to attend the programme.

STUDENT HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME.

The Students' Union Government in partnership with united healthcare international introduces the student health insurance scheme now active for freshmen and returning students.

The two day activities starts today with more awareness, sensitization and registration. Activities within the period includes :

January 28 , 2016 : Rally from 02:00pm - 06:00pm across the campuses taking off point is the university community centre.

January 29 , 2016 : Sensitization/ registration. There shall be a temporary registration post across all the campuses tomorrow as subsequent registration for students who fail to register tomorrow will begin in the school clinic. Registration requirements include;

- Identification material
- A passport photograph
- Blood group
- Genotype
- Other biometric info

The directorate of health plans elaborately the students health insurance scheme sensitization and all students are to take part in it actively.

While we thank management for their various kind gesture to the union , we appreciate our dear student for making University of Uyo your choice.
