As part of the preparations for the forthcoming SEKI Conference slated to hold between 25th-27th of March, 2024, the Department of Theatre and Film Studies Rivers State has come up with a stage performance of *ELE GBAKA*, a play on the History and Cultural Practices of the Rundele people of the Ikwerre ethnic group of Rivers State. The said play is written and produced by Eziwho Emenike Azunwo, directed by Eze Ekegu and Executively Produced by Dr Ovunda Jack Omodu, Associate Prof (Surgery, RSU & CMD/CEO Colworths Medical Centre Port Harcourt). The venue is the Amphitheatre. The time is 5pm daily, the date is 12th and 13th March.
The play promises to entertain, educate and preserve the cultural heritage of the Rundele people.
