RESUMPTION OF ACADEMIC ACTIVITIES FOR
2018/2019 SESSION AT THE EKOWE CAMPUS

CIRCULAR TO ALL STAFF AND STUDENTS


Following the recent suspension of the nationwide strike action of the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) on Tuesday 12th February, 2019 and the postponement of General Election to Saturday 23rd February, 2019, the Polytechnic Management has directed all staff to resume work at Ekowe Campus on Monday 18th February, 2019.

Equally the Management has approved the resumption of full academic activities including registration of new students and commencement of lectures for returning students from Wednesday, 20th February, 2019.

To this end, Schools and Academic Departments are to enjoin their staff and students to return to campus. Hostels are to be opened to students from resumption day while municipal services will be restored in due course.

The Management expects all staff to be at their duty post in view of this development as there will be zero tolerance for absenteeism, truancy and redundancy.

All Deans, Directors, HODs/HOUs and relevant staff are to enforce this circular for a smooth running of the academic session.
