"Water is life, and life is worth fighting for." — Nelson Mandela.

World Water Day is an opportunity to draw attention to the importance of preserving glaciers and to highlight the urgent need for action to address climate change.

From quenching our thirst to sustaining ecosystems, water is an essential resource that we cannot take for granted.

This day provides a platform for people from all walks of life to come together and work towards ensuring that everyone has access to safe, clean water.

This World Water Day, let us unite in our commitment to protect our precious freshwater resources and ensure that all people have access to clean, safe water for generations to come.

As IVSA members, we can make a difference by promoting sustainable veterinary practices, supporting climate-smart agriculture, and advocating for One Health policies.

Theme: Educate, Advocate, Act Now

🌍✨ Join us as we raise awareness about one of the most pressing challenges in global health, antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Together with the Antimicrobial Resistant Club and Association of Veterinary Medical Students (AVMS)-ABU Zaria, we are committed to spreading knowledge and inspiring action to combat this growing threat.

💊 Antimicrobials save lives, but their misuse can lead to resistance, making infections harder to treat. That’s why this year’s theme, Educate, Advocate, Act Now, emphasizes the urgent need to:

📚 EDUCATE ourselves and others on the responsible use of antimicrobials.
📢 ADVOCATE for policies and practices that reduce the spread of AMR.
⏰ ACT NOW to protect the effectiveness of these life-saving drugs for future generations.
