USC is THE sports center for UvA students! 5 of the 7 USC locations are right near a UvA campus. Squeeze in a workout between lectures, or a group class before or after a long day of studying.

At the UvA you’ll meet lots of people with different opinions and points of view. This can be a super valuable experience if you know how to navigate and respect different POV’s.

In the online course ‘Learning from Differences’ you’ll discover in just 15 minutes how we deal with different perspectives at the UvA. You’ll learn why political disagreements aren’t easily resolved, which views you hold yourself, and how to start a conversation with people who think differently. More info via the link in bio 🔗

Today, at the start of a new academic year, we’re launching a new strategy for the UvA. Running through all of it is one idea: the more ways of seeing we bring together, the more of the picture we get.

Your research field, your questions, the things you notice that nobody else in the room does. That is what we’re building on this year and the years after it.

Many perspectives, one big picture. Together we achieve more.

(Learn to) repair your bike at the ! 🚲🛠️💪

No money/time to visit a bike shop in the city? Visit the Bike Kitchen at the bicycle parking underneath Roeterseiland and learn to fix your bike yourself!

The Bike Kitchen is a workshop run by students with a passion for cycling and repair culture. And if your bike’s broken, they help you fix it! They help you to look what’s wrong, have all the tools you need and explain how to fix your bike all by yourself (and give a hand when needed ofc).
