Lunchlecture Hageman 🏗️🔎

What can we learn when structures crack, deform or even fail?

Join us on 17 September for a lunch lecture by Adviesbureau Hageman, presented by Jan Meester, on Forensic Engineering: Learning from Structural Failures and Damage.

Through real-world cases, you’ll discover how engineers investigate structural damage and failures using site inspections, material testing and engineering analysis to understand what went wrong, and how those lessons can help create safer structures in the future.

A new chapter for KOers begins 💙✨

Meet the 57th board of KOers!
After Monday’s change of boards, we’re officially ready to get started and make this year one to remember.

We’re looking forward to a year full of activities, new ideas, good moments and of course plenty of time together with all of you 😍

💙 New board, new beginnings & KOKrOKO 🥳✨

Today is a big day for KOers! We’ll start with the General Members Meeting, followed by the inauguration drink of the 57th board in the SkyBar!Underground 🥂💙

And later this week, it’s time for our first activity of the year: KOKrOKO! 😍 Join us on Thursday from 12:30–13:30 in the SED Lab for a delicious kroket sandwich and a nice lunch break together 🤤

And just like that, our board year is coming to an end. We’re walking away from an incredible year filled with amazing activities, great people, and countless memories.

A big thank you to everyone who joined our activities, supported us, and made this year so special. We’ve truly enjoyed every step of the way! 🫶

The new academic year has officially started today! 🎓

After a well-deserved summer break, we’re excited to kick off another year full of activities, events, and trips.

On Monday, September 7, it’s time for the official transition from the 56th to the 57th KOers board. We’ll start the day with the General Members Meeting at 09:56 in VRT 5.07, where the 56th board will hand over to the new 57th board.

And at 16:30, we’ll celebrate the new board during the CoBo at SkyBar!Underground. Come by to congratulate the 57th board and celebrate the start of their board year with us! 🥂

Q4 Recap

What a way to finish the academic year! 💙 We wrapped things up with our End-of-the-year BBQ, celebrating another great year together.

This quartile was packed with activities. We learned the basics of welding, explored innovative projects during the Solid Services Excursion, and visited a timber manufacturer in Germany together with the Advanced Timber Structures course.

We also stayed active by competing in the Concrete Canoe Race in Twente, taking part in the Batavierenrace, joining the Hajraa Volleyball Tournament, and ending the sports season with an exciting Paintball activity.

There was plenty of room for fun as well: we showed off our baking skills during Heel KOers bakt, enjoyed refreshing milkshakes at KOshakeKO, and battled Mollier during the annual Beerpong Tournament.

Finally, we had the opportunity to say farewell to Prof. Bert Snijder during the Structural Steel Symposium, celebrating his impressive career and contributions to the field.

Thank you all for another unforgettable quartile. Have a great summer, and see you next academic year! ☀️💙

End-of-the-Year BBQ ☀️

Join us this Thursday as we wrap up the academic year with the KOers End-of-the-Year BBQ!

Before everyone heads off for summer, let’s celebrate together with free food, drinks, and plenty of gezelligheid. From 19:00, the BBQ will be ready at the KOeveld on the TU/e campus.

Come enjoy the summer vibes and celebrate the end of another great academic year with us. We hope to see you there! 🎉

We’re already halfway through the exam period. Good luck with the rest of your exams! The summer break is almost here.

Before everyone heads off for the holidays, we still have two great activities coming up this Thursday: the KOersief Reveal and our End-of-the-Year BBQ! 🍔🎉
