Proud to be part of the Language Friendly Schools community!

We are delighted that the Language Friendly School has been awarded the UNESCO King Sejong Literacy Prize for its exceptional contribution to literacy in education!

At the ISE, we believe every language matters, and we encourage our students to use, celebrate, and share their home languages as an important part of who they are and how they learn.

With staff and students representing more than 50 languages, we are also proud of our strong Home Languages Programme (including after-school home language classes), which helps our students develop and maintain their home languages while celebrating our incredible diversity.

We are honoured to be part of a movement that recognises that valuing home languages helps students thrive and creates more inclusive education.

30 years at ISE and a background spanning art, fashion, and international education, Ms. Watts brings deep knowledge of our community, a wealth of experience, and a passion for continuous improvement that inspires us every day.

With extensive experience in primary education, literacy, and curriculum development, Ms. Roach is passionate about supporting teachers and creating meaningful learning experiences where every student can flourish.

From Europe and the United States to Singapore, Aruba, and beyond, Ms. Geurts brings a truly international perspective to our team. Her energy and fresh perspective add an exciting new dimension to our school community.

Together, they bring decades of experience, diverse knowledge, fresh ideas, and a shared commitment to education. By working alongside our staff, they help strengthen our departments, support our teachers, and keep ISE moving forward.

Our biggest DP1 Challenge Camp yet!

This week, we took our DP1 students on an action-packed Challenge Camp designed to build strong connections, learn how to support one another, develop problem-solving skills, and collaborate effectively, preparing them for the challenges of the two years ahead!

It was fantastic to see our students pushing themselves, working hard, and building resilience through every challenge, while they made sure to have plenty of fun along the way.

Well done DP1s; you should be incredibly proud of yourselves!

✨ What an amazing first few days of the new school year! ✨

We’ve only just started, and already there’s been so much energy and excitement happening across our school!

Wolfie was there to welcome all our new and returning Primary International students on their very first day back, starting the year with big smiles! Meanwhile, Buddy introduced our Dutch Bilingual Department students to the new IB Learner Profile, helping everyone get ready to grow, learn and thrive together. And of course, we cannot forget all the fun and creativity of Happy Honey Bee Week! 🐝💛

Yesterday, our Secondary Department MP1–5 Kick-Off Day got our MYP students ready for the exciting projects ahead, including the Personal Project! We wish our DP1 students an amazing time at Challenge Camp this week, and our graduating DP2 class all the best as they begin their final year of the IB Diploma Programme! 🎓✨
