Global Staff Services and PhD Organisation Nijmegen are hosting another boardgame night together! Join us at Sportcafé the Yard for an evening of fun and relaxation.

The game night takes place on Thursday September 8th from 19:00 until 22:45 and is open to all PhD candidates and international staff members. We are providing some games, but if you have any games you want to play, feel free to bring them!

There is a possibility to join for dinner at the Refter beforehand, this is at your own cost. If you are interested in this you can let us know in the registration form.

Do you want to learn more about Nijmegen? This is your chance! The PV Radboud Social Campus Network is organising a city walking tour for international employees (and their partners) in collaboration with Global Staff Services on Saturday June 18th.

During this free tour we will walk from the historic part of Nijmegen to the Spiegelwaal, the side channel that gives space to the Waal at high tide. The guide will connect this new acquisition with the history of Nijmegen and will explain why and how this mega hydraulic engineering project was carried out. After the tour we will have a drink at a bar in the centre of Nijmegen.

Please note: It is a tough walk of about 5 km and unfortunately not suitable for people with reduced mobility.

Information Session on Dutch Income Tax Return for International Staff
Tax season is upon us, from March 1st until April 30th 2022 you can file your income tax return of the year 2021. Is the Dutch tax system a big puzzle to you? If so, enlighten yourself by attending the online information session on Dutch income tax return for international staff on Thursday 7 April at 15:00 organised by the Global Staff Services team. During this meeting mr. dr. Peter de Heer from Crowe Peak will share all the ins and outs of filing your income tax return.

It covers the main outlines of Dutch geography, history, politics, society, culture, and science. The sessions provide a general impression about important Dutch historic events, people, organisations, and developments

This course is intended for foreign staff members who would like to
be connected to the Netherlands through learning about the outlines of its history. Prior knowledge is not required and you will learn about a broad range of subjects. The sessions will also touch upon scientific discussions about certain themes or historic events.
