NTNU in Ålesund offers mainly three-year professional bachelor programs and prepares students for future employment and careers within business management, engineering, health care, fisheries and maritime trade. NTNU in Ålesund offers also, as one of very few institutions world-wide, international master degrees in advanced maritime operations.The number of students is approximately 2000 with 200
academic and administrative staff members. NTNU in Ålesund co-operates with the maritime sector in order to provide the best education, resulting in state-of-the-art simulators for advanced training. AAUC facilitates simulators for realistic and relevant simulation of offshore-operations, navigation, anchor handling and dynamic positioning (DP), and the intensive maritime specialization courses attract a great number of participants from international companies. We also have close cooperation with other marine training centers around the world.
