Environmental Organic Analytical Chemistry at NMBU News on methods and opportunities at the Research facilities for organic analytical chemistry in food and environment at NMBU (IKBM, UNIS & MatInf)

Organic analytical chemistry has a long tradition as priority research field at NMBU (former UMB). Recently the Faculty of Chemistry, Biotechnology and Food Sciences (KBM) and Veterinary Faculty, Food safety and infection Biology (MatInf) started a joint venture on research and education in environmental organic trace analysis. This includes method development of priority pollutants and xenobiotic

s if emerging concern as well as risk assessment and effect evaluations. We are currently developing new graduate courses and invite Master level students as well a post graduate researcher to follow our activities are actively communicate with us on the recent development in environmental organic analytical chemistry

New publication from our research work is presented, combining modeling with empirical screening of longis presented, combining modeling with empirical screening of long-range atmospheric transport and deposition profiles for priority alkylated polycyclic aromatic substances-range atmospheric transport and deposition profiles for priority alkylated polycyclic aromatic substances as outcome of our Bioanalytical research team at NMBU:
A first study combining modeling with empirical screening of long-range atmospheric transport and deposition profiles for priority alkylated polycyclic aromatic substances is presented. Our research provided evidence of elevated atmospheric deposition of several aPACs in Antarctic environments. Enjoy reading.
