Global Research Programme on Inequality - GRIP The Global Research Programme on Inequality (GRIP) promotes critical, diverse and interdisciplinary

The Global Research Programme on Inequality (GRIP) is a radically interdisciplinary research programme that views inequality as both a fundamental challenge to human well-being and as an impediment to achieving the ambitions of the 2030 Agenda. GRIP aims to facilitate collaboration across disciplines and knowledge systems around problems of inequality. This entails integrating partners and teams f

rom across the world around a common research framework that reflects plural epistemic traditions, highlighting perspectives and concerns from the Global South. GRIP has two institutional sponsors; the International Science Council (ISC) and the University of Bergen (UiB). GRIP is building on the successful collaboration between the UiB and ISC, through the earlier Comparative Research Programme on Poverty (CROP) (1993-2019). We also explore the complex relationship between police, residents, and drug gangs in Brazil's favelas, and what this means for race and class dynamics.

🎙️ Listen now to uncover the broader global implications of far-right movements and their ties to inequality and social unrest.
