The application portal for this autumns three M.Sc. and Ph.D. courses in Arctic renewable energy is now open. The 10 ECTS courses run back-to-back and can be taken either as a block or as individual courses, and comprises of AE-341/841 Arctic Renewable Energy Exploration and Development, AE-342/842 Arctic Energy Meteorology, and AE-343/843 Arctic Renewable Energy Infrastructure: Construction and Operation.

Joséphine Nathalie Amey, guest master at UNIS in Environmental Chemistry, defended last week her master thesis:

MSc thesis opportunity
We are offering a master's thesis on the topic of "Dust on solar panels in Adventdalen" among the Arctic Technology department at The University Centre in Svalbard. The thesis will start in Summer 2023 and include fieldwork.

Last week, the Arctic energy group at UNIS hosted a very successful workshop with representatives from University of Stavanger, University of Agder, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, University of Bergen, University of South-Eastern Norway, University of Oslo, The Arctic University of Norway, and Norwegian University of Life Sciences.

New M.Sc. and Ph.D. courses in Arctic renewable energy, starting at UNIS in 2024, was discussed and developed further. We also had time to discuss research cooperation and some of the participants made an excursion to visit research locations in Adventdalen.
