The future of design
China is marketing itself on TV commercials with a slight yet significant brand change. It used to be the euphemistic "Made in China". Now, with a significant change in the technological production function, China is switching the attention away from its knock-off past towards its ability to both originate and manufacture novel and innovative ideas. Accompanied with the possibly more appropriate slogan: "Designed in China".
These three words tell a story of more than a thousand. Just the same as their written language manages to express things in only a few characters; Design is regarded an imperative for the future in the largest population in the world.
