Unioslo Global Health

Unioslo Global Health The Centre for Global Health (CGH) is an initiative of Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo Magnus, Ingeborg K.

The world is facing challenges that require efforts from the entire global community. Finding sustainable solutions to global health problems is urgent in an increasingly globalized and unequal world. The CGH’s ambitions are to mobilize cross-sectorial, multi- and interdisciplinary global health research; to be a hub for capacity development in research based global health education; and a facilit

ator of community engagement, knowledge-based dialogue, and public opinion formations related to important global health discussions thus ultimately contributing to sustainable development. Mission: Advance capacity for global health research, education and communication at UiO and partner institutions. Vision: The UiO: Centre for Global Health is a multi- and interdisciplinary hub for education and research capacity development in global health, contributing to sustainable development through collaboration and networking. The core team at the CGH includes the Director, Jeanette H. Haavardsson (Managing Director), Gabriella Rodriguez, (Communications Officer) and Christina Brux (Advisor for the Lancet One Health Commission), co-chaired by CGH. The team is supported by three Deputy Directors from the three institutes at the Faculty of Medicine and the CGH Board, national and international experts in global health.
