Flight Readiness Review complete! 🚀🤩

After two nights of barely any sleep for most of our members, we also finally completed our FRR 🫡

We got properly grilled on our entire system, a process that basically took almost six (!?) hours in total - just as long or even longer than some of us slept last night 🫣

But now it's time to get some well deserve rest tonight and tomorrow - in two days, on Tuesday, we will be proceeding to launch! 🔥🇳🇴

🤓 Am I qualified?
Most likely - we take in students from all backgrounds! No need to study anything physics or science related. As long as you are interested in rocketry, are good at cooperating and are willing to spend ±10h/week on a project, IgniteUiT is perfect for you!

Full steam ahead for 2025! 🚀

We’re excited to announce the name of our 2025 project: Rakke! This name continues our tradition of honoring Sámi mythology and culture, following in the footsteps of our previous project, Stallo. In the legends, Rakke is Stallo’s loyal dog 🐶 known for its ability to revive its owner. So in a sense we are reviving our previous project and making a comeback this year! 🎉

Another big milestone: IgniteUiT just turned two! We celebrated our anniversary in early February, marking two incredible years of growth and innovation. 🎂

But we’re not just celebrating—we’re hard at work! Courses, gatherings, a general assembly - all bringing us closer to making this project a reality 🤩

🚀✨ Ignite at SpacePort Norway 2024!

What a great time we had in Oslo last week! A huge thank you to Ole Dokka and the team for hosting, and to everyone who attended or helped out – especially the amazing volunteers (including some of our own team 🙌).
A big thank you also goes to for covering some of the traveling expenses!

We’re so excited about the launch of NORSTEC – the Norwegian Student Technology Collective – which will strengthen collaboration between Norway’s rocketry teams and enable many amazing things in the future! 🎉
It's incredible to see how fast the space industry is developing in Norway!

The event was packed with highlights: Inspiring talks from experts at NASA and ESA, insights into Latvia’s 🇱🇻 growing space industry, meeting our friends from other rocketry teams and enjoying coming together with the Norwegian space community.

Thanks to everyone who made it there. We’re already looking forward to the next one! 🚀🇳🇴
