The Chapman Tripp Junior Negotiations Competition allows students to gain some valuable experience in negotiation. In teams of two, negotiate with another team to best represent your client’s interests. Teams will be given a set of mutual facts and a set of facts that only your client knows. At the end of the negotiation, teams self-evaluate via a discussion with the judge(s). There is a preliminary round, semifinal and final, each judged by professionals in the industry 🌟

The signup form is linked in our bio. You may sign up as a pair or as an individual to be paired with another individual. The first 8 teams will be selected on a first-come, first-serve basis. The remaining 8 teams will be selected on a random ballot basis. The competition is open to students in part 2 and 2.5 ‼️

DATES

Signups open: Monday, 7 September at 5:00 pm.
Preliminary rounds: Monday, 14 September from 5:00 pm.
Semifinal: Tuesday, 15 September from 5:00 pm.
Final: Wednesday, 16 September at 5:00 pm, hosted by Chapman Tripp.
