Happy World Environment Day!

The places we love to visit today are the places we need to protect for tomorrow.

From stunning beaches and national parks to cultural landmarks and wildlife experiences, tourism relies on a healthy environment. That's why sustainability is becoming an increasingly important part of the travel and tourism industry.

At ITC, our students learn about the tourism industry and the role it plays in helping protect the destinations that travellers enjoy around New Zealand and around the world.

Whether your dream career is in tourism, travel, aviation, or hospitality, you could be part of an industry that helps people explore the world while caring for it at the same time.

Let’s talk about real industry experience. ITC students just had a huge moment at TRENZ 2026.

ITC students recently helped at TRENZ 2026, one of New Zealand’s biggest travel and tourism events, where they supported delegates, exhibitors and international guests while getting a real behind-the-scenes look at the industry.

This is what studying tourism and aviation at ITC can look like: hands-on experience, real connections, and opportunities that can open exciting doors.

Today is International Cabin Crew Day ✈️

A huge shout-out to the incredible cabin crew around the world who help keep passengers safe, comfortable, calm, and smiling at 35,000 feet. From early starts to long-haul flights, they’re the friendly faces that make travel experiences memorable.

At ITC, many of our students dream of one day working as cabin crew, and one of the coolest parts of studying with us is getting hands-on experience in our on-campus Airport Training Centres. Students get to practise real-world airline and airport scenarios in a realistic environment, helping build confidence, communication skills, and industry knowledge before stepping into the workforce.

We are so proud that many of our past students have gone on to achieve their dream careers in aviation, including becoming cabin crew for airlines around the world.

If you’ve ever imagined yourself travelling the world while building a career in aviation, this could be your sign to start exploring the possibilities.

Samoa Language Week is a chance to celebrate the beauty, strength, and importance of gagana Samoa and the incredible Samoan culture that is part of communities all across New Zealand.

The 2026 theme for Samoa Language Week is "‘E afua mai i mauga tetele manuia o le 'nu'u - From the high mountains are the blessings of the village.”

At ITC, we’re proud to have students from many Pacific Islands, including Samoa, bringing their cultures, languages, stories, and perspectives into our campuses and classrooms every day. It’s one of the things that makes our learning environment so special.

To all our Samoan students, graduates, whānau, and community members, fiafia i le Vaiaso o le Gagana Samoa!
