The Tahuna 1st XV put together a fantastic performance today, defeating Balmacewen Intermediate 60-15 in a game played with great spirit and sportsmanship by both sides.

After a competitive opening half, the team produced a huge second-half effort, playing some outstanding rugby and pulling away on the scoreboard. Their teamwork, resilience, and commitment to each other were a credit to the team.

A big thank you to Balmacewen for a great contest. We wish them all the best for the rest of the season.

A massive thank you also to the King's High School 1st XV boys Zane, Lafa, and Kavahn for giving up their time to referee the match. Your support was greatly appreciated and helped make the afternoon a success.

Also a special shout out to our cameraman, Eb Paia, for capturing all the action from the sideline.

Congratulations to Tahuna Old Girl Suzie Bates on being recognised in the King's Birthday Honours with an ONZM for her outstanding services to cricket and basketball.

Suzie continues to make our community proud through her achievements, leadership, and dedication to sport.

Well deserved, Suzie.

New Zealand cricketing great Suzie Bates has shone at the top of the White Ferns order for decades.

Huge shoutout to our amazing caretaker who has now added another title to the list, Head of Badminton!

Jason not only keeps our kura running smoothly every day, but he’s also giving up his time to run badminton sessions with our tamariki and help grow the game at school.

The students have been loving the sessions, learning new skills, having fun, and getting active along the way. We’re incredibly lucky to have staff who go above and beyond for our kids.
