He's a flight instructor!
Well done Jake Mellors for passing your C-Category Instructor Rating flight test.

Jake has graduated NAC, leaving with a double diploma in General Aviation and Flight Instruction. He has shown real commitment and dedication to his training and we look forward to seeing where his passion for aviation takes him.

Special mention goes to Aaron, Andrew and the instructing team for their contributions towards Jake's training.

was in town recently! NAC’s Charlie Hegan and Sam Harrison took Django Luvon up for a flight over the stunning Abel Tasman in ZK-NAX, our C172.

Originally from Washington State, USA, Django is currently hitchhiking his way around New Zealand, sharing the adventure with more than 228,000 followers across social media, especially TikTok.

Awesome to show him a slice of New Zealand paradise from the air.

Georgie Gillespie, continued on to her C Category Instructor Rating course after getting her Commercial Pilot License (CPL) at Nelson Aviation College.

She talks about learning more about plane physics and instructional design. Clearly understanding everything at a deeper level, from aerodynamics to procedures, and being able to explain concepts to different student learning styles.
