Liisa Wharepapa took the step to learn te reo Māori so she could better support her tamariki, their kura, and the community. What followed was a journey that built her confidence and showed her just how much she was capable of learning.

Balancing a busy life, Liisa stayed focused on a goal bigger than herself. She was learning for her whānau, her hapori, her hapū, and her iwi.
