As Tropical Storm โTINOโ swept across several parts of the Visayas, the Municipality of Albuera was among the affected areas, experiencing strong winds and heavy rainfall that caused damage to schools and communities.
In response, Seguinon Stand Alone Senior High School (SSASHS), led by Mr. Mark Suminguit, organized a school-based cleanup operation this afternoon to restore safety and order within the school campus. Together with school staff including Kuya Nanding and the dedicated Rover Scouts, the team worked hand-in-hand to clear debris, fallen branches, and leaves around the campus premises.
Beyond their own grounds, the Rover Scouts extended their help to Seguinon Elementary School, one of the most affected institutions in the area, where a large pine tree had fallen and scattered debris covered the schoolyard. Through teamwork and the true spirit of Scouting service, they successfully cleaned and prepared the area for the resumption of classes.
Though some minor repairs remain, this effort stands as a strong reminder that the spirit of service and Bayanihan never falters โ even after the storm.
Salute to all Rover Scouts, school staff, and volunteers who took part in this meaningful initiative!
