Discover the world of Physical Therapy! 💚

Our Senior High School students had their work immersion experience in the College of Physical Therapy, where they were given hands-on exposure to the dynamic field of Physical Therapy. Through the program, they were introduced to the different roles of Physical Therapists — from patient assessment, therapeutic exercises, and rehabilitation to the use of electrotherapeutic machines and community health service — highlighting the profession’s commitment to improving movement, function, and quality of life.
This immersion program gave students a glimpse of how Physical Therapists help individuals regain movement, improve function, and achieve a better quality of life through compassionate and evidence-based care.

Last April 24, we successfully conducted the “𝐒𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐭 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐧: 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐬” held at the PT Room with 10 community volunteers from Sitio Igiban, Brgy. San Isidro, Cogeo.

The program primarily focused on training the volunteers in proper and accurate blood pressure taking, in order to prepare them as key persons in monitoring the health status of their community. In addition, the volunteers were taught proper knowledge and protocols in managing heat stroke, heat exhaustion, and dehydration, particularly during this hot weather.

Through this initiative, we aim to empower the volunteers to become active partners in promoting health and wellness within their community.

Thank you to everyone who participated and supported this meaningful activity. Together, we continue to build a healthier and more prepared community. 💚❤️
